One of the key values of piqlConnect is to take away any concern and friction about the information that we are storing on the piqlFilm.

Once you upload data we aim at making sure they are ready to be stored as long as you need without any risk of data corruption or challenges of future access.

With that, there are some in-built mechanisms in piqlConnect to help you ensure that your data is prepared and ready to be stored for perpetuity on the piqlFilm. And we call these mechanisms the datas “health check”.

The health check include the following actions that we do to the data once you upload:

• No empty files
• No duplicate files
• No corrupted files
  • Files with wrong extension
  • Files being corrupted and not possible to open by one of our file renderers
• Virus check
• We remove DS_store files (Mac OS files that often creates confusion for the user)
• Thumb_files (Windows specific files that is being generated with unecessary information)

In addition to the health check, we offer future proofing of the file formats to be stored on the piqlFilm to ensure that they are in the best condition possible to be safeguarded and accessed for centuries.
