A new era of piqlConnect is here!

The release of piqlConnect version 3.0 introduces a completely new way of approaching simple design, user experience and advanced, powerful archival functionality in one “state-of-the-art” asset management life cycle system.

This new release also mark the beginning of a new era for Piql as a company as we are introducing a new approach to design thinking and user experience in our services. And we are very excited!

Some of the highlights from this major release is:

• A completely new redesign of the service, include all main areas in the software
• A new more functional dashboard that gives a quick and nice overview of the information in the platform
• A new Future-proof file format service that completely re-thinks how to ensure compatibility for the files being uploaded with demands of long-term access and file format obsolescence. For a closer look, read our article on Future-proof file formats
• Introduction of the “Frozen Cloud” with complete integration to piqlConnect. The Frozen Cloud allows you to store data cost-efficiently and as long as you need it in the same manner as on the piqlFilm. Hosted and retrieved in Norwegian data center with 100% sustainable energy use.
• A new Settings page with lots of new areas of functionality including Notifications preference site which allows for both in-app and email notifications on package changes. Get notified about the important matters to take actions.
• An upgrade of the security settings, including configuration of two-factor authentication. We have also created support for enabling Passkeys which are coming soon and we can create a dedicated Single Sign-On (SSO) environment for the more advanced users.
• You can now register using your Microsoft Office or Google account to register and login. ! Note that you can only choose one at the time.
• There is now support to integrate with existing Sharepoint and Teams environment - get in touch with us if should help you demonstrate how to transfer files from your system.
• As part of the rebrand we have now also introduced new price plans and an updated price model with four different tiers to cater for the different clients and use cases we work with. To learn more go to the Subscriptions Price Plans section to what subscription fit your institution’s need.
